SDSU

The mission of the SDSU Community Centers is to support student success through a framework that addresses equity, justice, and inclusion. Centers facilitate the learning and growth of traditionally underserved students through programs and events that educate the campus; facilitation of intergroup dialogues to address pressing issues; and advocacy with campus stakeholders to create an institutional climate that supports the students we serve.

UC Riverside Ethnic & Gender Centers

The University of California, Riverside (UC Riverside) is a campus that values diversity, equity, and inclusivity. As part of Student Affairs, the E&G were created to provide Highlanders with a sense of belonging, support, and the opportunity for learning in a relaxed and safe environment. Embedded throughout our entire organization, we work to ensure that students have multiple opportunities to grow as leaders in a diverse world. Our centers are fully committed to an academic culture that provides opportunities for all UC Riverside students to develop multicultural competencies and be prepared to lead and succeed in a diverse world.

UC Riverside is known for its strong multicultural foundation, reflected in its vibrant arts and culture scene as part of the “City of Arts and Innovation.” The campus and city offer a diverse range of artistic experiences, from visual arts to literary works and musical performances. Downtown, UCR ARTS serves as a hub for exhibitions, films, events, and performances, housing both the Barbara and Art Culver Center of the Arts and the California Museum of Photography. With over 500,000 pieces, the museum is the largest photographic center in the western United States and holds the region’s most comprehensive public camera collection.
