
Scientific programmer and Biomedical Informatics M.S. graduate student Trevor Mugoya has been awarded the prestigious Next Gen Leadership Award from Advances in Genome Biology and Technology (AGBT) at its annual general meeting in Orlando.
Mugoya received the honor in person during the conference, one of the leading international gatherings focused on genome science and technology. The award was presented by Elinor Karlsson and Beth Shapiro, both prominent researchers in the field.
The Next Gen Leadership Award recognizes emerging leaders who demonstrate innovation, impact and a commitment to advancing genomic research and technology. Mugoya’s recognition highlights his contributions as a scientific programmer and graduate researcher in biomedical informatics, as well as his growing influence in the genomics community.
